Almost a year after the death of the composer, arranger, conductor and violinist, Giusto Pio, who collaborated for many years with Franco Battiato, the Italian Rhythmic Symphony Orchestra, directed by Maestro Diego Basso, and the voices of the Art Voice Academy will interpret Pio’s favorite melodies. These melodies constitute the playlist he originally prepared with Maestro Basso for his 85th birthday concert in Caerano of San Marco.
The performance at the Municipal Theater of Falzé di Trevignano will be much more than just a concert: it will be a journey into the life and genius of a man who wrote a fundamental page of Italian musical history, a true "just for the music – Giusto per la musica".
Almost a year has passed since Giusto Pio left us (Castelfranco Veneto, 11 January 1926 - 12 February 2017). Composer, arranger, conductor and violinist, he was famous for his elective affinity and synergy with Franco Battiato. The Municipality of Trevignano, in collaboration with the orchestra conductor Diego Basso and Art Voice Academy, on Saturday November 11th at 9.00 pm dedicate to Pio’s memory the concert Giusto for the Music at the Municipal Theater of Falzé di Trevignano.
"During its cultural season, the City of Trevignano - explains Maria Giovanna Favero, Councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Trevignano - has a history of hosting well-received musical events directed by Maestro Diego Basso. This year, we enthusiastically welcome the chance to pay tribute to Giusto Pio, a great Italian musician and composer, and seize the opportunity to raise awareness about an extremely modern and avant-garde artist".
Pio was "just for the music" to which he dedicated his life and contributed enormously. The Italian Rhythmic Symphony Orchestra, accompanied by the Teen's Choir directed by Claudia Ferronato and the voices of Art Voice Academy, will retrace the playlist of songs that the musician and composer had selected together with Maestro Diego Basso (who then handled the final arrangement) for the concert celebrating his 85th birthday and held at the Teatro Maffioli in Caerano di San Marco.
