Orchestra Ritmico Sinfonica Italiana

The Orchestra Ritmico Sinfonico Italiana was founded in 2004 on the initiative of its conductor, Maestro Diego Basso.

The Orchestra follows in the steps of the great orchestras that up until the seventies performed film soundtracks, songs, theatrical performances, musicals, and opera arias.  The Orchestra is composed of more than 100 musical elements and has a YOUNG section of 40 musicians between the ages of 18 and 25.

The Orchestra has been nominated one of the best orchestras of pop rock symphony music. It performs high-level live performances including of the most beautiful opera arias.

The musicians of the Orchestra Ritmico Sinfonico Italiana accompany Maestro Diego Basso, who is the sole conductor, in concerts in the most beautiful Italian squares, in national and international theaters, as well as in television productions.

Opera on Ice
September 21–22, 2018
A one of its kind show. Maestro Diego Basso directed the Orchestra while the world’s greatest figure skaters performed to the most famous Opera arias in the elegant Piazza degli Scacchi of Marostica. The performance was broadcast on December 25, 2018 on Canale 5. The event setting included a central ice rink of about 800 square meters with an orchestra, choir and the soloists of the Pavarotti Foundation providing the music.

Musica is
Original new concert created by Maestro Diego Basso exclusively for the Marostica Summer Festival. It is a musical project that crosses various genres including opera arias, pop, symphony, and rock. The traditional Grand Gala of the festival took place in the Piazza degli Scacchi in Marostica (Italy).

Concert for Life

Designed by Diego Basso, Francesco Sartori and Francesco Grollo, the concert was a charity event for the CRO in Aviano organized by Unindustria Pordenone. The event took place at the Teatro Giuseppe Verdi in Pordenone (Italy).

AVA Live 2018

The traditional summer event of the Art Voice Academy. In 2018, the concert was dedicated to the Great War and took place in two extraordinary locations in a double concert: at the Sacrario Cima Grappa and at the Piazza Duomo in Castelfranco Veneto.

Ferrara Christmas Pop Rock
January 6, 2018
Charity concert, in collaboration with the Teatro Comunale di Ferrara. The event included the extraordinary participation of Marco Falagiani, Valentina Galasso, Luisa Corna, Vittorio Matteucci, Benedetta Caretta and Davide Merlini.

Television productions

The orchestra musicians recently participated, led by Maestro Basso, in the most important television productions broadcast in primetime, including Sanremo Young - Rai 1, "Music" - Canale 5 show conducted by Paolo Bonolis, and Viva Mogol! - Rai 1.

The Orchestra Ritmico Sinfonico Italiana performed at the Festival del Garda (2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007 editions) broadcast by Rai 2. They also performed the Omaggio concert to Sergio Leone with Alessandro Alessandroni in 2004. The concert included pieces by Ennio Morricone, two of which were included on the Morricone Western CD published by Mediane and distributed worldwide.

In 2005 and 2006, the Orchestra participated in the Stars and Christmas Notes and the Grand Gala of the Italian Red Cross concerts, broadcast on Rai 2 and Rai SAT. They also performed at The Dream Box Suite world premiere at the Hilton Metropol Hotel in Florence, and have performed in numerous concerts in Italian squares and theaters.
