Three new dates have been added to Il Volo’s European tour whose Orchestra is led by Maestro Diego Basso, conductor of the Treviso pop orchestra which has recently performed in major television productions such as Viva Mogol! on Rai 1 and Music on Canale 5. After successful performances in Zurich, Brussels and London, the Il Volo trio arrive in Germany on Thursday June 15th at the Mitsubishi Electric Halle in Düsseldorf, Friday June 16th  at the Mehr! Theater in Hamburg, Germany’s second most populous city after Berlin, and Sunday June 18th at the Crocus City Hall in Moscow. For the performances in Germany, the Maestro will conduct the 40 musicians of the Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina, an internationally renowned Slovak orchestra that already played alongside Il Volo once in the inaugural concert of Il Volo’s European Tour in Zurich.

The first performance will be in Düsseldorf, a city that hosts the second highest population of Italians in Germany. The concert theatre, the Mitsubishi Electric Halle (also known as Philips Halle because it was originally called the Dutch electronics conglomerate Philips), is an indoor arena that first opened in 1971 and has seating for 7,500 people. The second performance in Germany will take place at the Mehr! Theater, a multifunctional theatre and the only one in the world located inside a wholesale food market. It was built in 1962 by architect Bernhard Hermkes and is the largest theater in Hamburg. The final performance will be at the Crocus City Hall in Moscow. The theater is located in the city center and can seat 7,500 people. It was built in memory of the famous Russian-Azeri singer, Muslim Magomaev, who passed away in 2008.
